Merino’s “Young Vines” vineyard ‘El Rincon’ was planted actually back in 2001 in the South of Briones. Matured for 15 months in ‘second use’ oak barrels. Plenty of blackcurrant fruits on the nose with notes of vanilla and leather. Great concentration of fruits on the palate with smooth tannins.
