2010 Sparkling.
Our very first wine. Released in 2014 and if you are lucky enough to till have a bottle it’s still full of life! The wine has rich aromas of lemon, spice and toasted nuts. On the palate it keeps a taut balance between freshness and the minerality typical of Higher Plot with a full ripe finish.. It is 60% Chardonnay with the remainder split between Pinot Noir and Meunier.
For those that are interested in technical side of life, around half the wine spent 3 months in third use white wine barrels from Smith Haut Lafite (sadly no relation) It then spent two and a half years in bottle on its lees before disgorgement and was topped up with 2010 still wine reserved specifically for this use.

Our first wine and one that we were proud of. From day one it had the particular minerality that we have come to associate with Higher Plot. As we drank the very last bottles in 2014 we were amazed at how it still had a freshness and balance of fruit
