Decanter World Wine Awards Gold Medal Winner for the 2017 This is a wonderful wine. Whether it’s good bad or indifferent, most people have heard of Chateauneuf Du Pape which sells for at least £19.00 per bottle. Cairanne is a village nearby where the wine is the same in style but much better value particularly when it’s as good as this. It’s blend of Syrah and Grenache from 40 year old vines with lovely spicy aromas of licorice, cherry and vanilla. Its complex and deep wine. Great to drink now but keeping it for a couple of years wouldn’t do it any harm.

We have a reserve of this in France but in the current situation, we’re not sure if we’ll ever see it. We have very few bottles left and so grab it while you can!
